Algarve-born European U-21 Badminton champion Pedro Martins did not have the luck of the draw when coming up against Emil Vind in the first round of the Czech Open.
The strong Dane emerged the 19-21, 21-9, 21-7 winner while Portuguese ladies champion Thelma Santos also went out to Danish opposition having previously seen off Irish and Czech players.
