Criticism that Minister for Justice (and now Minister for Interior Administration) Francisca Van Dunem “does nothing” (click here) has come up against proof that there are certain things moving along in her ministries. A joint resolution published in State newspaper Diário de República shows that €6.4 million is to be removed from next year’s budget for borders agency SEF (soon to be dismantled) and given to the High Commission for Migrations for the support of (the growing number) of Afghan refugees in Portugal. The resolution was equally signed by the Ministry of the Presidency, headed by Mariana Vieira da Silva.
