A Dutch holidaymaker, believed to be in his late 30s, has become the latest late-night mugging victim in Albufeira.
News reports say the man was on his way back to his hotel in the early hours of Wednesday morning when he was “violently attacked” in Rua 25 de Abril by a group of “unknown people”.
The muggers made off with the man’s wallet and mobile phone, as other people in the street rushed to the man’s rescue.
GNR police are now investigating.
The victim was transported to hospital for treatment. The attack happened at 4.50am.
