Netherlands’ national football squad has chosen the Cascade Resort in Lagos to prepare for its three upcoming friendly matches after failing to quality for the Euro 2016 in France.
The training camp started last Sunday (May 22) at Cascade’s Football Academy – one of the driving reasons that saw the resort nominated for Europe’s Leading Sports Resort 2016 in the World Travel Awards.
It is the second time that the Dutch national team has chosen Cascade for training.
It spent a week at the resort in 2014 in preparation for the Brazil World Cup in 2014.
Memphis Depay (Manchester United) and Wesley Sneijder (Galatasaray) are just two of the stars in the national selection under head coach Danny Blind.
Netherlands will be facing Ireland on Friday (May 27) in Dublin, followed by matches with Poland on June 1 and Austria on June 4.
