Dublin Senior Hurling squad return to Algarve

The Dublin Senior Hurling squad flew to Portugal on April 5 for a four day intensive training camp at the Amendoeira Sports Club, near Silves.

Manager Anthony Daly believes warm weather training camps offer an important opportunity for the team to come together to focus purely on training and team building.

Shortly after the “Dubs” first camp at the Amendoeira Sports Club in April 2011, the team went on to win in the Division One National League for the first time since 1939.

However, after winning this National Hurling League title and having an All-Ireland semi-final appearance in 2011, the Dubs have been seen as serious opposition and the ones to beat.  2012 has got off to a challenging start and consequently Daly decided to take advantage of the long Easter weekend and take the squad back to Portugal for some serious training.
