A Ryanair flight from Glasgow to Lanzarote was diverted to Faro airport on Tuesday (March 7) after two “drunken passengers became rowdy”.
According to the Scottish Daily Record, the Britons “attempted to fight others on the plane”.
The pilot was forced to divert to Faro where the disruptive duo was kicked off before the plane continued on to its destination in the Canary Islands.
PSP police in Faro told us they were called to the airport to deal with “two drunken passengers” but that the men were allowed to walk free.
Ryanair has not commented on how they were expected to return home.
A spokesperson said only: “We will not tolerate unruly or disruptive behaviour at any time and the safety and comfort of our customers, crew and aircraft is our number one priority”.
