A young English teenager fell 20-metres backwards off a cliff in Praia da Rocha in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Despite being described by media reports as “gravely injured”, the 18-year-old is described as having “run away from hospital” after his rescue – to return to Rocha and continue drinking.
This last comment came at the foot of a small story published in Sulinformação.
It could easily be true, as a source from Portimão Hospital confirmed that the youngster had been ‘released’.
The incident happened shortly before 6am on Saturday and involved INEM ambulance services, a VMER rapid response vehicle, maritime police and Portimão firemen.
