Drunk 22-year-olds arrested for damaging cars in Portimão

Two 22-year-olds were arrested for breaking the rearview mirrors of four cars on Portimão’s Rua Cidade de Damão in the early hours of this Friday morning (March 4).

PSP police said the young men had high levels of alcohol in their blood (2g and 1.35gr/litre) and were carrying a pocket knife and a hashish grinder.

They were caught after locals sounded the alarm, though one of them “unsuccessfully” tried to run away.

Three car owners have already filed complaints.

The young men were expected to appear before a judge the same afternoon.
