More than 30 bales of hashish weighing more than a tonne were found by maritime police authorities on Praia da Barrinha and in the Ria Formosa area on November 9.
They were found in and around the water by a team, including divers, who began to search the area following reports of a boat “flying” across the water.
The drugs that were found are now to be analysed by authorities and are thought to be linked to an empty speedboat which was seized by police in the same area on November 8.
