POLICE IN Vila do Bispo found around a tonne of hashish on a speed boat near Ingrina beach on Friday (October 26).
The boat, which appeared to have crashed into rocks and was abandoned, was found by officers in a routine patrol, who believed that the boat was heading towards the beach to unload its cargo when it hit the rocks.
Police do not know where the boat originated or where the drugs came from. A team of divers searched underwater for any containers that may have gone overboard when it crashed.
