GNR police dismantled a drug trafficking network in the Loulé area on Thursday last week. Following three house raids in Benfarras, six men and one woman were arrested while police found a small lab for heroin production and seized nearly one kilogram of the drug in its pure form, chemicals to mix with the drug, a mill, three scales and €18,000 in cash, which was found by sniffer dogs buried in a nearby field along with 12,7 grams of cocaine. Police suspect the drug was to be sold across the Algarve and some areas of the Lower Alentejo.
