PSP police have been thwarted in efforts to ensure a convicted drug trafficker is not allowed to renew his gun licence. The man – who served five and a half years in jail – has seen Lisbon’s court of appeal rule in his favour, on the basis that he was a ‘hunter’ who hadn’t been involved in violent crimes.
The PSP’s objections centred on the man’s lack of suitability for a licence.
