Drowning man saved by his wooden leg

A holidaymaker was saved from drowning after he used his wooden leg to attract rescuers after falling into the water.

The man fell from his small inflatable dinghy while on holiday in Restronguet, Cornwall and was helped out of the water by two yacht workers who happened to be passing by and saw the man waving his wooden limb.

The two men were delivering a boat when they noticed a woman screaming on the shoreline and then saw the man clinging to a buoy waving to get their attention.

It was only when they got closer that they could see he was waving his wooden limb to get their attention.
