The last remaining legal case against Portugal over poor water quality has been filed by the European Commission recently.
The case related to drinking water quality and dated back to 1999 and 2000, said the president of the entity supervising water and wastewater services (ERSAR) in Portugal, Jaime Melo Baptista.
He said: “The filing of the legal proceedings by the European Commission means that Portugal has since implemented the right measures to overcome the problem definitively.”
