Event || The small town of Alcantarilha in the Silves borough will be hosting the 13th ‘Dried Fruits Fair’ between September 5 and 7.
The fair, which has become the town’s staple event in the summer, will showcase the Algarve’s dried fruits such as almonds, figs and carobs, used mostly to create delicious sweets and cakes as well as liquors!
There will also be stalls for local craftsmen to show off their handicrafts.
Entertainment is guaranteed, as concerts and other performances are scheduled every day after 8pm.
The fair will take place in front of the parish council building and will be open between 6.30pm and 2am on September 5, between 5pm and 2am on September 6, and between 5pm and midnight on September 7.
It is organised by the Parish Union of Alcantarilha and Pêra and the Silves council.
Daily tickets cost €1.50 while a three-day ticket costs €2.
