PORTUGUESE RALLY driver team, Armindo Araújo and Miguel Ramalho were not pleased with the performance of their Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX at the Vodafone Rali de Portugal, after not achieving a position in the top 10.

The pair will be testing their car in Italy this week and making necessary adjustments before taking part in the Greek rally.

“I don’t feel confident going to Greece with the car in this condition” said Armindo, adding “we will have to work very hard in Italy, otherwise we will not be able to continue.”

Peugeot Italy driver Luca Rossetti maintained his 100 per cent success rate by winning the Vodafone Rally de Portugal. This marks Rossetti’s fourth victory from four participations on the IRC, following on from Ypres and Sanremo in 2007, as well as Istanbul this year.  It also makes the Italian the most successful driver in the history of the IRC series so far.
