Drain Doctor Plumbing, a renowned emergency plumbing and drain repair service business in the UK, has launched a new venture in the Algarve.
Francisco José Ferreira São Vicente has been appointed as operations manager to help build the company’s first mainland European business in the Algarve covering Loulé, Faro, Silves, Portimão, Lagos and Vilamoura.
Drain Doctor in Portugal will provide guaranteed service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with a fixed price “menu” and no call-out or out-of-hours charges.
No digging
As this is the company’s first step abroad, Francisco will be tasked with proving that the concept works as well as testing all Drain Doctor business systems, before more franchises are opened up across Portugal.
“Drain Doctor uses techniques that are currently not found in the plumbing industry in Portugal. Portugal does not have CCTV and no dig drainage technology so this will give us a great competitive advantage,” said Francisco. “For example, drain lining will allow us to complete repairs without having to dig up our customers’ drains.”
