Welsh junior world champion Manon Carpenter is one of the attractions at the opening event of the Vodafone Portuguese Downhill Mountain Bike Racing season in Sao Bras de Alportel this weekend.
The 17-year-old gap year student will take on around 200 senior rivals including 40 Spaniards on the town’s Arimbo track.
