World Sailing Management (WSM) has announced that it is to suspend the 2012 season.
The decision was taken due to the prevailing economic downturn affecting the world in general and Europe in particular.
WSM is amongst other events responsible for the popular Portimão-based Audi MedCup stage featuring the TP52 class in recent years.
