Down syndrome day film

A special screening of the film The Other Side of the River Bank will be shown at the municipal theatre in Faro to mark World Down Syndrome Day tomorrow (Saturday) at 3pm.

The Algarve Down Syndrome charity, Apatris 21, has organised the screening to raise awareness of Down Syndrome and the 50th anniversary of the publication of Professor Jerome Lejeune’s discovery of the extra copy of chromosome 21, which causes Down Syndrome.
