Lagoa badminton ace Pedro Martins followed up last week’s Surinam Open victory with further success in the South African equivalent.
The 21-year-old world No77 defeated Uganda’s Edwin Ekiring 2-0 in the final to amass another 2,500 ranking points while fellow Algarve club representative Telma Santos was narrowly beaten by Turkey’s Ozge Bayrak in the ladies title match.
