A collection in memory of Harriet Nicholson will be made on December 12 at the Olhanense game against Academica, organised by family friend Chris Wright.
Harriet died on November 8 in a helicopter crash in New York, where she had been visiting with family to celebrate her daughter’s 40th birthday.
A service will be held for Harriet, a keen supporter of the Olhanense football team, in the UK on November 28.
Money collected on December 12 will be sent in memory of Harriet to the New York Police, Fire Widows and Children’s Benefit Fund in recognition of the efforts of the emergency services following the helicopter tragedy.
