A donation of €500 was given to Lilo Clauberg Kranendonk from the Canil de São Francisco during a presentation held at the QM Country Shop and Garden Centre in Santa Bárbara de Nexe.
A member of the weekly mosaic workshop held at the centre each Wednesday made the donation to the kennel and asked the leader of the workshop, Kathi Veninga, to make the presentation as they wished to remain anonymous.
Kathi Veninga said: “I was surprised and delighted to be asked by one of the pupils to make the informal presentation with the money donated being used to buy food for the 440 dogs, 50 cats, six horses and five donkeys supported by the charity.”
