Members of the Domingos golf group, so named as they only play together on a Sunday, held their annual charity golf game at the Gramacho golf course near Carvoeiro on May 28.
More than 1,600 euros was raised on the day, which was donated to the Bom Samaritano children’s home in Alvor. This money will be used by the home, which houses 36 children, to help fund the purchase of a minibus for the charity. The Domingos are usually a group of eight golfing friends but for their charity game, 40 golfers in total took part in the golf, which was then followed by a raffle.
The event organisers would like to thank Rui Gago and the staff at Pestana for their help in organising the event and also restaurants Happy’s, Poço Partido and La Bella Vita which provided prizes for the golfing winners.
