Resort reopend in April following major renovations
The Domes Lake Algarve resort in Vilamoura has adopted the Autograph Collection Hotels signature, which is part of the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio, comprising independent properties that stand out for their uniqueness.
The resort, named ‘Best New Resort’ at the European edition of the World Travel Awards last year, reopened in April after major renovations, having now “reinforced its quality by joining the prestigious international group.”
Located near the Falésia beach, the hotel features a “new design that represents the culture and spirit of the Algarve.

The refurbishment, led by Portuguese designer Nuno Rodrigues from Interior Architects, was inspired by the surrounding landscapes, reflecting Portuguese architecture and style with a contemporary touch, the resort says.
“The design concept features interiors in stone tones, highlighting the surrounding vegetation and natural materials typical of the region. The 192 spacious rooms and suites have been renovated with light tones and textures inspired by the resort’s natural lake, accompanied by contemporary furniture lines, offering views of the garden or the lake. The lobby and dining spaces, including the renovated neo-Greek/Portuguese fusion restaurant TOPOS, feature plants and earth tones to maximise space and create a brighter and more engaging atmosphere,” it adds.
