Two dolphins were saved by Tavira fire fighters and Maritime police in the Ria Formosa area on Monday.
According to the Maritime Police, the animals had been trapped in the mud, and were already out of water, near Tavira Island.
The dolphins were rescued by boat and released safely into the sea.
