A CHARITY auction was organised on New Year’s Eve at Albufeira Marina in order to raise funds to help care for children at the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Albufeira.
The event was held as part of the ‘Dolphins and Art Project’, unveiled back in March, and included an exhibition of dolphin sculptures all around the marina. Children were invited to vote for their favourite dolphin of the exhibition and the top five were then included in the auction.
A total of 2,250 euros was raised from the auction, held in the presence of Helena Guerreiro from the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Albufeira and Glória Rodrigues, director general of Albufeira Marina.
