Dolls mark Worker’s Day in Montenegro

Among the topics included in Montenegro’s ‘exhibition’ this year were the health service, abortion, lack of parking for cars, folklore dancing, traditional bread making, unsatisfactory pensions and popular Portuguese TV reality show, Quinta das Celebridades.

In a swipe at Faro Câmara, replicas of the new decorative plant boxes and small orange trees that have recently been placed throughout the city were created bearing placards, bemoaning the fact that Montenegro has not been given any for its streets.

The dolls drew a lot of attention with countless local residents coming out of their homes to witness the spectacle and many cars slowing down to get a better look. Photos: Caroline Cunha
