Galeria Corte-Real in Paderne is holding a charity weekend on April 28 and 29 to raise funds for more than 40 abandoned dogs and puppies.
Currently housed at Goldra’s new animal sanctuary, finance is desperately needed to improve the infrastructure of the premises.
Nine of the gallery’s artists, using a wide variety of styles, have been commissioned to display their talents and paint canine portraits.
Throughout the charity weekend, a charge of €2 will be made and donated to the charity.
Vet Kirsten Peters will be available to answer questions about pets.
The gallery is also serving complimentary wines and hot-dogs!
As part of the fundraising initiative, a three-course Sunday lunch is being served at local restaurant O Alagar, at 1pm, costing €20 per person including wine, with €5 being donated directly to the charity.
