A WOMAN was admitted to Faro hospital on December 4 with minor laceration injuries following an attack by an illegal pit bull in Quelfes, near Olhão.
The 49 year old women sustained injuries to her arm and leg and was assisted by emergency services at the scene of the incident before being transported to Faro hospital.
According to the GNR, the pit bull had no identification chip and was not covered by insurance. The dog has now been placed in kennels where it will remain until a decision is made by a vet as to its future.
