SIM, the Independent Syndicate of Doctors has said it may well call off the overtime strike if legislative elections are called – and will almost certainly call on doctors to stop handing in minutes of unwillingness to work overtime. FNAM, the National Federation of Doctors says that “whatever happens” tomorrow, it will continue “to fight for the defence of doctors’ rights, but above all for the health service”, its president, Joana Bordalo e Sá, has told Lusa.
