Doctors dismiss government’s ‘full dedication regime’

Portugal’s national health doctors are prepared to relax their strikes and work-to-rules until after the elections on March 10, but warn that the government’s so called ‘full dedication regime’ is something they have no interest in working with. They stress the regime ‘devalues’ them in comparison to other healthcare professionals, saying they are anxious to return to the negotiating table when the country has a new government.
