All you want for Christmas will be at the Network Spirit of Christmas Fair at the Hotel Garbe in Armação de Pêra on December 1, say the organisers.
This year the fair, open from 11am to 5pm, will be held at the Pôr do Sol Restaurant within the hotel, which is more spacious and light.
Make sure you don’t miss Father Christmas and his Magic Elf arriving in the sleigh to open the fair at 11am.
The Silves Keep Fitters Carol Singers will welcome Santa and then sing many of the traditional Carols that we all know and love at the hotel bar at 11.30am and 3.30pm.
The fair has grown to be one of the most popular in the region with hundreds of visitors attending from across the region.
Organisers say there will be something for everyone, with an opportunity for mums and dads to do some Christmas shopping, while the children flock to see Father Christmas, all to the sound of traditional Carol singing.
Gifts and traditional Christmas treats will also be on sale, such as homemade Christmas puddings, candles, cards, tree decorations, crackers, novelty stocking fillers to name but a few.
Porches Pottery, one of the fair regulars, will have a range especially for Christmas, from handcrafted and hand painted cruet sets, soap dishes to candles and Christmas tree decorations. The Lemon Tree stand will have a festive range of soaps and beauty care products that would make ideal Christmas gifts. Moveison will be displaying giftware and James Wilding will be there with his jewellery.
Visitors will be able to enjoy an Indian buffet lunch prepared by the Raj Indian Restaurant from 12.30pm or a turkey sandwich and mince pie at the hotel bar.
A grand raffle and tombola will raise funds for the Network Charity of the Year, the Bom Samaritano children’s home in Alvor.
Street theatre, fashion flashes and dancing displays will also make up the entertainment programme of the day.
Entry to the fair is free.
