ONCE AGAIN, radio Kiss FM listeners and advertisers showed kindness and generosity in responding to the appeal for Christmas gifts for the orphans and underprivileged children of the Algarve.
Drop off points were organised across the Algarve, which resulted in two truckloads of presents being distributed at the Núcleo de Educação da Criança Inadaptada (NECI), a school for physically and mentally disabled children in Montinhos da Luz, and the Pirilampos orphanage in Branqueira. Team leader Elaine Saunders again provided the transportation of the presents.
Kiss FM’s Owen Gee and Paul Buick, ably assisted by their ‘elves’, donned Santa suits to hand out the many presents to the children at Pirilampos. Kiss FM is now trying to find the funds to get a hydrotherapy room up and running at NECI. Plans are also in hand to provide golf lessons for underprivileged children this year.
