Divorces and house purchase deeds to move online

From November 15 it should be possible to sign a divorce agreement, a house purchase, or even witness legal inheritance declarations via videoconference. The move sets out to avoid the numbers of people who descend regularly on registry offices and similar. The Bar Association is enthusiastic about the change, though the Order of Notaries still has doubts over how ‘coercion’ issues can be avoided. The final decision is to come from President Marcelo.
