Minister of the Sea Ana Paula Vitorino has been forging ahead with new ideas this week, suggesting the government is getting ready to hand municipalities all underused ports and waterside terminals.
Signing a contract awarding Barreiro council the concession to run the former railway docks, she said her intention is to mirror the arrangement with “all boroughs on the Arco Ribeirinho” (waterside areas around Lisbon).
