Portuguese soap opera star Rodrigo Menezes has been summoned to appear in Loulé Court on minor charges after a fracas with GNR officers outside a Vilamoura nightclub last Friday.
According to daily newspaper Correio da Manhã, the actor is accused of disobedience and negligent driving after refusing to stop his car following police orders, and nearly running over an officer during a police road traffic operation near Bliss nightclub between Albufeira and Vilamoura.
Rodrigo Menezes, who reported negative for alcohol after a breath test, was arrested but has been released pending trial.
