“Wine Academy at Conrad Algarve” is a new initiative by the Quinta do Lago-based hotel designed for those who “truly savour the artistry of Portuguese wines”.
The academy consists of 90-minute classes with some of the best winemakers in Portugal, who will be unravelling the mysteries behind the wine labels.
The classes will be “a great way to dig into the world of wine and learn how to refine your palette, develop your senses and discover how to pair a certain dish in perfect harmony with a wine. After each class, you will also be able to enjoy a dining experience, with the producer, especially paired with his wines”.
The first wine class, on November 13 from 4pm, will be led by Douro wine producer Dirk van der Niepoort. Costing €70 (plus €50 for dinner experience), the class is limited to a maximum number of 25 participants.
