Water sports business Angel Pilot is holding its annual Jet Ski Tour on June 26 (Sunday) and has planned an extra special route this year.
The tour will take place along the Guadiana River’s ‘Smugglers Route’, which dates back to the 13th century.
It begins in Vila Real de Santo António and winds its way up to Mértola in the Alentejo, giving jet skiers an opportunity to “discover the Eastern Algarve, Spain and the Alentejo while observing beautiful nature”.
All taking part will also have a chance to test-drive a Yamaha VX Cruiser, powered by an all-new TR-1 engine said to be “more powerful, smaller and lighter” than habitual jet skis.
The tour, beginning at 8am, will be followed by a lunch in the rural town of Alcoutim at 1.30pm.
Ticket prices vary between €20 and €32.
