Dinner in aid of Albufeira children’s homes

A fundraising Christmas dinner to support the needs of children in care homes in Albufeira is being held this Saturday (December 6) at the Galo e Touro (Cock & Bull) Restaurant near Almancil from 7.30pm.
The dinner is being organised by Amigos das Crianças, a project of the Peta Birch Community Association, which provides support for children at the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Albufeira homes, specifically the Pirilampos (children up to 12 years old) and Gaivota (teenagers from 12 to 18 years old) homes.
The Amigos das Crianças project provides dental and optical care, activities such as sports, day trips, evenings out or summer camps, higher education support, clothes and shoes, essential supplies and other items as needed.
Dinner will be a three-course meal (soup, spit roast chicken or vegetarian option if pre-requested and apple crumble), with wine, water and coffee included.
Price per person is €30, with €5 going directly to the ‘Amigos’. There is also a raffle to be drawn on night.
