More than €900 was raised at a recent dinner and dance event in aid of The Goldra Dog Sanctuary.
Held at Ristorante La Piazza in Santa Bárbara de Nexe, the event was a success and the funds raised will “go a long way” to helping with the medical bills at Goldra.
Organisers said that, despite the cooler weather, all enjoyed the three-course meal served on the terrace, with music and entertainment by the talented Richard Valentine.
A “mini auction” – including a dinner for two, a painting, a hamper and a morning of tennis – was held later in the evening and the bids came in fast and furious for the items, all of which were donated for the event.
