Diners take to Facebook to expose abusive Lisbon restaurants

The onslaught of ‘good news’ stories lauding Portugal as a tourist destination seems to have gone to some restaurateurs’ heads. In Lisbon, for instance, diners have been shocked to find themselves charged €120 for traditional specialities like Bacalhau com Natas (salt-cod in cream). Bills for dourado too (golden bream) at €140 a pop are being posted to warn others, “look before you order”, particularly when visiting the capital.
