Portugal’s already expensive fuel saw a new hike today as the government’s “Imposto sobre Produtos Petrolíferos” kicked into gear, seeing prices increasing at the pumps at a time when globally the cost of fuel is plummeting.
According to reports, the increases make Portugal’s fuel the 8th most expensive in Europe, with diesel jumping four positions and petrol one.
Elsewhere, data shows national fuel consumption falling by 15.1% since December.
