As part of the celebrations for Dia do Mar (Day of the Sea), Loulé Câmara is staging an art exhibition from October 1 to October 30 at Loulé’s Galeria de Arte do Convento Espírito Santo entitled ‘Atlântico Selvagem’ (Wild Atlantic). Dia do Mar will also boast a unique, interactive, activity this year, which will be open to the public on October 14. An inflatable pool will be set up across the Cerca do Convento building for anyone who would like to make their first attempt at diving. The diving instruction will take place between 9am and 5.30pm and is open to adults and children, however places should be booked in advance. In an area such as Loulé, where activities linked with the sea are of great importance, the commemorations of Dia do Mar aim to remind people of the need to preserve this valuable natural resource.
