DGS wants to ban sale of cigarettes to under-21s

New measures under consideration by Portugal’s DGS health authority for its ‘national strategy for the combat of cancer’ involve ‘banning the sale of cigarettes’ to young people under the age of 21, and increasing the taxes on tobacco, products using tobacco and alcohol. Ideas also involve further limiting the promotion of alcohol. The measures are up for public discussion until the end of the month, explain reports.
