Expresso reports that one single file shared on the Dark Web in February contained the names, mobile phone numbers, email addresses, places of work, home addresses and civil status of 2.4 million Portuguese – as well as their Facebook User ID information. Up till now, no-one knows who has shared this information. Facebook reportedly says it believes the data is ‘old’ and was obtained “via a failure eliminated in August 2019”.
