HOSPITAL SERVICES carried out at Lisbon’s Desterro Hospital will all be transferred to other buildings by December.
Hospital President, Teresa Sustelo, said that all of the services would be transferred to other Lisbon hospitals by the end of the year.
Skin and surgery services are being moved to Capuchos Hospital, while urology, internal medicine and intensive care will be moved to the Hospital de Saõ José.
Radiography and X-ray services will be distributed between São José and Capuchos, while the laboratory is to be relocated at Estefânia.
By the end of November, Sustelo estimates that only urological complementary diagnostic exams will remain at Desterro, given that the equipment is “heavy and complicated to install.”
