THE PRESIDENT of the bi-annual Experimental Design fair has accused Lisbon Câmara of making the event impossible to continue.
Gouta Moura Guedes said that the event, planned for September 12, now probably won’t go ahead because the câmara has back-peddled on its sponsorship responsibilities.
“In my first meeting with Carmona Rodrigues a very clear promise was made that the câmara would continue to financially support the event. Then, bit by bit, they withdrew their support and finally said they had no financial support to give whatsoever.”
A câmara spokesman said: “Unfortunately the câmara couldn’t support the event because it was financially impossible.”
