Starting on Friday (May 1), Tavira will begin hosting the 12th ‘Festival de Gastronomia do Mar’.
Eighteen local restaurants will be putting up some of the “best dishes the sea has to offer” for this popular event, promoting codfish, octopus, rays, tuna and many other delights of the sea.
Besides the food, restaurants-goers will also be in for a chance to win a weekend for two at Cabanas Park Resort, Casa Viana Guesthouse, Lagoas, Hotel Porta Nova or at one of the 24 hotels of the Vila Galé group in Portugal and Brazil.
Organised by Tavira council, the festival will run until May 24.
