There will be everything from baos to pizzas
This week marks the start of the eighth edition of Lagos Food Fest, one of the largest events of its kind in the Algarve.
The festival will take place at Praça do Infante and Jardim da Constituição from noon to 1am between Thursday and Sunday (July 13-16), featuring 26 different food trucks and brands.
“In addition to hot dogs and hamburgers, Lagos Food Fest will offer a wide variety of food to suit all tastes, includinga oysters (OysterExperience), baos (Take a Bao), pokés, empanadas, falafels, and pizzas cooked in wood-fired ovens (Arte Bianca),” organisers say.
The event will also feature the “famous one-meter-long” toasties from Autocarro Rock n Doll, as well as several vegetarian and vegan options including Rejoice, Petite Marie, and Aphrodite on Wheels.
There will also be a selection of drinks to choose from, from natural wines, made from unadulterated fermented grape juice, to caipirinhas, beer and cider.
Visitors will also have live entertainment to look forward to, as Jardim da Constituição will play host to so international DJs such as Kierastoboy and Marc Hype, and some of the most acclaimed national DJs including Tozé Diogo, Dedy Dread, and TobyONE.
“This year, we have focused on unique concepts and invested in local businesses to showcase the best that Lagos has to offer in a different way,” says Maria Loureiro de Lemos, the event organiser.
The festival will be free to visit, with performances starting at 5pm.
